Day 01: Cochin
On your arrival at the Cochin Airport/Railwaystation our representative will receive you and take to the hotel. Spend the afternoon with local sightseeing in and around Cochin - the “Queen of Arabian Sea”, this is one of the finest natural harbors in the World and was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Chinese, Portugese, Dutch, etc. Sightseeing attractions in Cochin include Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Day 02: Cochin to Munnar
After breakfast proceed to Munnar . Munnar is one of the most famous hill station situated on the Western Ghats at the height of 1600 metres above the sea level. It is essentially a tea town – miles of unending tea plantation can be seen here. Arrive and check into the hotel Evening you can visit the nearby tea plantations. Overnight at hotel
Day 3 : Munnar (Local Sight Seeing)
After breakfast proceed for Munnar sightseeing. Morning visit the Mattupetty dam, Echo point andthe Kundala Lake. Boating facilities are available at Mattupetty Dam. Afternoon visit EravikulamNational Park which is also known as Rajamala is the natural habitat of Nilgiri Thar. Nilgiri Thar canbe observed very closely here. Evening free for shopping. Overnight at hotel
Day 4 : Munnar to Thekkady (Periyar)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (110 km, 3 hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady - one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done on an extra cost. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 5 : Thekkady to Kumarakom
After the early breakfast drive to Kumarkom . Reach there and board a at 12:00 noon. Enjoy the boating through canals, paddy fields and Vembanad Lake. Traditionally, the houseboat was called kettuvallom, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Incredable may sound, not a single nail is used in the making of a kettuvallom. Jack wood planks are joined together with coir rope and then coated with black resin made from boiled cashew nut shells. Today, these giant 80 foot long crafts have been adapted into luxuriously furnished houseboats. A kettuvallom usually has one or two bath attached bed rooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and a crew comprising oarsmen, a cook and guide. Kumarakom is one of the most exotic backwater sites of Kerala & it is popularly known as ' Venice of the East'. It is interlocked by a number of canals, lakes & lagoons. Alleppey is nestling in between Arabian sea & Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom has been gifted with immense natural beauty. Overnight in the house boat.
Day 6 : Kumarakom to Alleppey
After breakfast check out from the House boat proceed to Alleppey and check in to the Beach resort on arrival . Alleppey has been gifted with immense natural beauty. Spend the Day with local sightseeing and shopping at Alleppey . Overnight stay at resort
Day 7 :Alleppey to Cochin
After the breakfast check out from the resort proceed to Cochin . Let’s say bye bye with God’s own country’s SWEET DREEMS…..
